This paddle is much longer than usual. Participants must be able to paddle for three hours. This paddle is not for inexperienced paddlers

Access to the Barnet Marine park is best from the Barnet Highway. The trip should take approximately 1 hour 15 minutes from Chilliwack. Boats can be dropped off and then the cars are parked a 10 minute walk away.
We will cross to Admiralty Point then skirt the shore to Belcara Park, around Hamber Island and along the shore to Jug island. Total distance of 5 kilometers.
An alternate route could be east down the channel to Port Moody where the water is more protected if the weather dictates.

You must be able to transport your own boat and gear, and you must pick up your gear at 7 am Saturday morning.
What to bring- Hat, water, sunscreen, camera, lunch, and wear weather-appropriate clothing.

Please indicate whether or not you need equipment when you register.  Boats can be picked up Friday evening at 7 pm at the main beach boathouse. If paddlers don't have roof racks on their vehicles please have foam roof racks and straps or rope to tie your boat on for transporting.

This paddle will take place rain or shine unless it is considered unsafe. Free for members but membership and registration are REQUIRED.
