Discover the fun of whitewater paddling and the thrill of slalom racing!

This camp is designed to introduce youth paddlers to the Olympic Sport of Slalom Whitewater (check it out here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WL05NTXNx-c&list=PLYA_c3SLrSUnk4ez7eZ-T7RkwT14lUyBv&index=5).

If you want an idea of the fun things expert slalom paddlers can do for fun locally check this out Skookuchuck Rapids video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TDoEZV5v1PQ. NOTE we will not be taking the youth on anything approaching the level of whitewater in the above videos - it takes many years of training to get that good!!

And finally a taste of what we do in the CCE Paddling Club:

Tuesday 4-7pm: Cultus Lake or Slalom gates: skills development and wet exits

Wednesday 4-7pm: Fort Langley Salmon River slalom gates

Thursday 10am-4pm: Mini regatta - Highway Gates or Hope Slough - challenge yourself to a fun mini-race!

COST $80 (entire camp), $25 for just Tues or Wed, $50 for the Race Day

All participants will also be welcome to register for drop-in river runs with our development group: Saturdays through to the end of October (late summer and fall is the best time for new whitewater paddlers to get used to paddling on the river - when water levels are low)
