Whitewater skills level 1 (youth)

Discover the fun of whitewater paddling! This set of lessons is suitable for youth aged 10-14 who want to start paddling on the river.

If your youth is <10 years but meets the pre-requisites PLEASE ASK your instructor if this course is OK for your youth or email us.

Twice a week lessons are strongly recommended - some youth may not be able to keep up with the group if they only register for once a week lessons

LEVEL 1 Whitewater Pre-requisites: Must have completed an "Intro to kayaking" course, a full 5 day summer camp, or equivalent.

Schedule: Please arrive 10 minutes early and ready to paddle.

Wednesday evenings 5-6.15pm

Saturday mornings 1:00-2:30 pm.

All equipment provided (kayak, helmet, paddle, PFD, spray skirt)

Safety is our #1 priority - there will be a maximum student: instructor ratio of 4:1 on the river. All river paddles are weather, skills and water-level dependent.
