FULL TIME Slalom Program 2021/2022

Competitive racing program by invitation from Head Coach only.

Full time program athletes are scheduled for a minimum of 16 training sessions per month (typically 7 on-water sessions per week) and there are no additional charges for training camps.

Personalized gym training workouts will be provided

The full-time program is suitable for Train to Train, Train to Compete and Train to Win athletes who are either striving for, or have achieved, national podium success, Provincial or Canadian Team placements. Focusing on refining their technical skills while learning more subtle tactical skills, these athletes are preparing to take on the whitewater world and dreaming of the Olympic Games.

Cost per annum is $2400 however, due to uncertainty regarding the availability of slalom coaching through the upcoming winter, we are only asking for month to month commitments at this time. Once a full time slalom coach has been hired we will request full-time commitment for the remainder of the year up to August 2022.

To register for the 2021-2022 full-time program, please submit payment of $400 to cover September/ October fees to the CCE Paddling Club treasurer.

An athlete contract and code of conduct must also be completed annually. Membership in the CCE and competitive CKBC membership (cost is age-dependent) required.
