Whitewater skills level 1+ (ADULT) mistake

Discover the fun of whitewater kayaking! This set of lessons is suitable for adults who want to progress beyond the basics of river kayaking.

Level 1+ Whitewater

This lesson set is suitable for adults who already know how to do a wet-exit and how to do a T-rescue, can confidently paddle a whitewater kayak in a straight line on the lake, can perform basic steering strokes on flatwater and are comfortable paddling on gently moving (grade 1) rivers. The first lesson will be at Cultus Lake to review these basics and the remaining lessons will be on the river. If you have not had lessons with us before PLEASE EMAIL US with details of your current paddling experience/ previous courses etc, so we can ensure this lesson set is a good fit for your current needs.

Schedule: once a week for 6 weeks: Saturday morning 9-10.30am

All equipment provided (kayak, helmet, paddle, PFD, spray skirt)

Safety is our #1 priority - there will be a maximum student: instructor ratio of 6:1 on the river. 

All river paddles are weather, skills and water-level dependent.

COST $180 for 6 lessons ( $210 if equipment is needed) PLUS club membership $45. Total $225 ($255 with equipment and membership)
