Whitewater skills (level 2 youth)

COVID-19 update: safety is our number one concern. All equipment is disinfected between participants and social distancing will be practiced on the water except where it would be unsafe to do so for emergency management.

This 6 week program is suitable for level 2 youth who want to improve their whitewater kayaking skills.
LEVEL 2 Intermediate: For youth who have completed the "Intro to Rivers" camp, a level 1 whitewater course and/or have experience paddling easy (up to grade 2) sections of the river.

Schedule:
Thursday evenings 5-6.30pm - focused on improving kayak stroke technique using slalom gates (6 lessons ending Oct 15th)
Sunday mornings 10.30am-12.00pm - focused on river running skills (6 lessons ending Oct 25th - no lesson on Thanksgiving Sunday 11th Oct),
Plus an end of season "Cookie Race" Saturday 24th October at our Cedarwahl Farms race site.

All equipment provided (kayak, helmet, paddle, PFD, spray skirt)

Safety is our #1 priority - there will be a maximum student: instructor ratio of 4:1 on the river. All river paddles are weather, skills and water-level dependent. The first lesson in each set will be at Cultus Lake.

12 lessons Thursday and Sunday: $180
