COVID-19 update: safety is our number one concern. This summer, all group sizes are smaller (max 4 youth per instructor on the river), all equipment is disinfected between participants and social distancing will be practiced on the water except where it would be unsafe to do so for emergency management.

This set of lessons is suitable for youth aged 10-16 who want to improve their whitewater kayaking skills.
LEVEL 1 (Thursdays) Must have completed an Intro to kayaking course or camp with at least 1 day on the river (or equivalent).
LEVEL 2 (Saturdays) For youth who have completed the "Intro to Rivers" camp and/or are already comfortable paddling easy (grade 1-2) sections of the river.
The lessons will be tailored to the skills and confidence of the group

Schedule: Please arrive 5-10 minutes early and ready to paddle.
Thursday evenings 6-8pm
Saturday mornings 9.00-11.00am
All equipment provided (kayak, helmet, paddle, PFD, spray skirt)

Safety is our #1 priority - there will be a maximum student: instructor ratio of 4:1 on the river. All river paddles are weather, skills and water-level dependent. The first lesson in each set will be at Cultus Lake.
