Spring Break Whitewater camp

Register in our Kayak Rivers Spring Break Camp on the Chilliwack River, run in partnership with Waterflow Paddling https://waterflow.ca/

This camps runs Monday to Friday from 9:00am-3:00pm. The first day will be at Cultus Lake to review paddling skills, wet exits and safety rules.

What will I learn? Whitewater kayak skills as well as river safety skills.
Pre-requisite: Prior paddling experience is required - must have completed a CCE Paddling Club introductory kayaking program or camp (or equivalent) which included at least 1 day of whitewater paddling.

This camp is run by experienced and highly qualified instructors with a strong focus on safety. To ensure the safety of the group, the maximum student:instructor ratio will be 4:1 and there will be two instructors paddling on the river at all times.

All paddling equipment provided (boat, spray skirt, paddle, helmet) but you will need to provide your own lunch and come prepared for full days on the water.

Paddling clothes: weather in march is variable - but the water temperature is generally cold. Warm clothing will be required including thermal base-layer (NO COTTON), fleece, toque, a wetsuit and waterproof splash top. Wetsuits and splash tops are available from the club for an additional fee.

Target Age Range: 12-16yrs [NOTE youth aged 10-11 with sufficient paddling experience will be considered, please contact us for more information]

Camp cost includes club membership: $225.00
(cost is $200.00 for youth who are already club members)
