Lightening Lakes July 11, 2020

Bring your kayaks, canoes, SUPs, and pack rafts and join us for a lovely day at Lightening Lakes in Manning Park. We will meet at the parking lot near the Lightening lake boat rental at 10:00 am.

Because the travel time to Lightening lakes is longer than usual we thought that we would have a picnic by the lake. Be sure to bring a lunch.

Register early: if there are less than 2 registrations the event is likely to be cancelled.

You must be a CCE Paddling Club member in good standing. Membership forms are attached below: if you are not yet a member, please complete a form for each participant and email to [email protected]. You will be given an opportunity to pay for membership when you register for this event. If you wish to pay by e-transfer please tick "other" payment option and email us for instructions.

Maximum group size is 12 paddlers. Covid 19 protocols will be in place (See website ccekayak.com for details) and sanitation supplies are available. Club boats and equipment are available to use, however if you have your own equipment please use your own, to decrease the risk of COVID-transmission. Paddlers are responsible for disinfecting club equipment after use (directions and supplies are provided). Equipment is available for club members on a first come-first served basis.

You must be able to transport your own boat and gear, and you must pick up your gear FRIDAY July 10 At 7 PM.
Volunteers will be there to teach you how to safely tie your boat onto your vehicle. PLEASE MESSAGE BY THURSDAY TO BOOK EQUIPMENT.

What to bring- Hat, water, sunscreen, Bug spray, camera, lunch and weather appropriate clothing.
