Northwest Cup - Boater Cross and Rich Weiss Memorial Slalom Race

*Map: Follow Chilliwack Lake Road to Tamihi Bridge. (1st bridge on Chilliwack Lake Rd to Cross the river)

Saturday -- Boater Cross Race

On Saturday afternoon the CCE will be hosting a boater cross race through Tamihi Rapids. The competition will be a round robin style tournament with prizes for the winners! Each participant will get 2 runs minimum.

Race Starts at 1:00pm. Racer's Meeting at 12:00 noon.

Sunday -- Rich Weiss Memorial Slalom Race

What: Annual Whitewater Kayak Race. This is a great event for everyone who enjoys paddling the river. It is a great way to test your skills, and work on precise stroke timing and boat placement.

Race Start at 10:30am

Race Day and Practice Safety

All competitors are expected to follow these safety guidelines as a condition of participation

 All equipment must be in a safe condition.

 All kayaks must be equipped with flotation so that they will float on surface if fully capsized.

 All paddlers must wear a PFD, helmet and appropriate gear to protect against hypothermia.

 All paddlers will paddle in minimum group size of three at all times during training and the competition.

 All participants will follow directions provided by race organizers regarding off-limits areas, areas to put in and take out etc.

Cost for each event is $20 or $30 for both together.
Participants must be covered by CKBC insurance. Either by being a member of a CKBC Club, or paying an additional fee for Day-of-Event Insurance ($5 for youth and $10 for Adults)
